Osnium 2017 Training This course is for users of the Osnium case management system, used widely in NM Domestic Violence programs. It does not come with a completion certificate. Confidentiality in the Digital Age Confidentiality is arguably one of the most important, yet problematic aspects of domestic violence work. As advocates and others attempt to protect victim safety, effective relationships between community partners are often challenged. As information is rapidly becoming digitized, we are struggling to keep up with the dangers and difficulties the technologically-based world presents to victims. The foundation of successful coordination is clarity on the issue of confidentiality in domestic violence cases, and emphasizing how we should (and shouldn't) be using new technology to protect safety. This course is a series of recordings from "Confidentiality in the Digital Age", a workshop presented by Cindy Southworth of NNEDV, and Detective Deidre Fishel from the State College Police Department (PA). Recognizing Symptoms & Appropriately Responding to the Danger of Intimate Partner Strangulation Short video course for advocates to learn to identify signs and symptoms of strangulation in victims of domestic violence, recognize how dangerous it can be, and its implications for lethality. Preparing and Protecting Immigrant Survivors of Violence in a New Age of Immigration Enforcement A two-part webinar series on what domestic violence advocates and programs should know about changes to immigration policy and how it affects the people you work with. Responding to Confidentiality Challenges This is a self-study course for law enforcement to better understand how to work with domestic violence victim service providers and provide an orientation to the ideas covered in the Confidentiality Quick Guide for Law Enforcement (available for download from course). A certificate of completion will be available for download when you complete all sections.
